West Brom v Manchester City: Baggies set for more blues at Hawthorns

| 24.12.2014

West Brom fans were left singing the blues last time out against Queens Park Rangers and after that Loftus Road collapse few will be expecting the Baggies to get anything from a Hawthorns encounter with the in-form Premier League champions.

Manchester City head into the game as the 8/15 favourites for victory having beaten West Brom in each of their previous five meetings.

The Baggies, meanwhile, can be backed at a distant 11/2 to score only their second win in eight games while a draw is available at 3/1.

But after a weekend in which two of our three Manchester City tips duly delivered the goods, we are confident that this latest trio will go one better.

Yaya Toure to score and Manchester City to win @ ODDS

On the scoresheet against Crystal Palace, Toure is beginning to show glimpses of the form that made him the driving force behind City’s title charge last term and as the team’s main penalty taker he is always worth consideration when it comes to picking out a goalscorer.

The Ivorian has scored in four of the Sky Blues’ last six games and with the likes of Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic sidelined, he will be expected to apply the finishing touch here.

Both teams to score and Manchester City to win @ 12/5

City may have kept clean sheets in each of their previous four games going into this encounter but West Brom will still fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet having scored in three of their last four.

With three of their last four defeats against City also coming in games where both teams have scored, this could be the pick of the day’s bets.

Manchester City (-1) to beat West Brom @ 13/10

Fresh from a 3-0 whitewash of Palace, City will be confident of another comfortable victory against a West Brom side in freefall and after beating the Baggies 3-1 the last time these two met, the Sky Blues should be backed to win by at least two clear goals.
