West Brom boosted for FA Cup victory over West Ham with BTTS
The FA Cup is back on the menu this weekend and those Ladbrokes customers tuning in for the first televised instalment of the fifth round from the Hawthorns should pause to take in this offer first.
As West Brom host West Ham, the bookmakers are ramping up the Baggies to win the match with the stipulation that both teams score from a starting price of 7/2, out to 5/1.
Locating the onion bag certainly hasn’t been an issue when these sides clashed in the Premier League this season.
Indeed both teams found the net at the Hawthorns in December when the Irons ran out 2-1 winners and once again on New Year’s Day at the Boleyn Ground as the game finished 1-1.
Naturally, the biggest storyline to have gripped either club since then is a change of face in the Baggies’ dugout, as Tony Pulis was in charge of the team for the very next West Brom game to follow the draw in east London.
That was the FA Cup third-round cakewalk against non-league Gateshead and since then Swansea and Hull have left the Hawthorns without any league points, although a rapidly-improving Tottenham briefly burst the bubble in between.
Meanwhile, a little of the gloss on the Irons’ impressive campaign has begun to chip recently and Sam Allardyce has now had it confirmed that injury-prone striker Andy Carroll is out for a six-week period.
Only an 81st minute winner in the last round of the FA Cup at Ashton Gate prevented League One Bristol City from earning a replay, while it is now three winless games in all competitions for the visitors.
