Man City v West Brom: Ailing champions poised to bounce back

Premier League champions Manchester City are out of the Champions League after being schooled for the second season in a row at the last-16 stage by Barcelona, but their recent domestic wobble will surely come to an end at home to West Brom.
City have won their last six against the Baggies by a combined scoreline of 16-5 and haven’t been beaten at home by the Black Country outfit in seven all-competition fixtures stretching back to February 2003.
Furthermore, despite Manuel Pellegrini’s side failing to win seven of their last 11 Premier League matches, they’ve emerged victorious from eight of 11 top-flight home games since drawing 1-1 with leaders Chelsea at the Etihad in mid-September.
Meanwhile, West Brom are without a win in four away fixtures in the division since Tony Pulis took charge in early January and lost 2-1 to Aston Villa last time out on their top-flight travels.
The Citizens’ past couple of Premier League outings on their own patch have seen both Leicester and Newcastle beaten to nil, and the hosts winning without conceding at 21/20 looks a better way to boost profits than the 1/3 on offer about Pellegrini’s charges simply taking all three points.
Bear in mind they only conceded once against Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar and co in midweek.
‘Daddy Cool’ Wilfried Bony is yet to score a goal in City’s sky blue colours, but the former Swansea striker has only started once, last time out at home to Burnley, since signing on at the Etihad.
If thrown in from the off Bony is a great bet to fire first at 7/2, having done so with six of his nine goals for the Welsh side this term prior to his £28m January move.
