Former Man United pair in huge Champions League price boost

| 14.04.2015

Once the thrills and spills of the Grand National are over it can be difficult knowing where your next long-odds winner will come from.

Handily, Ladbrokes are indebted to the cause of the punter, with a couple of tasty-looking price boosts in line with the return of the Champions League.

In the first, a pair of former Manchester United goal-getters make up two-thirds of the bookie’s Hitman Treble goalscorer multiple, which is out to 10/1 from 7/1.

In order to land such a handsome bet, Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez and Derby County’s Chris Martin all have to find the net on Tuesday night.

With 51 goals in just 46 appearances for club and country this term, Ronaldo to score would likely be a feature of most people’s betslips, with or without a price boost. 13 strikes in the last 11 outings makes the Portuguese red-hot heading into the local derby with Atletico Madrid.

Alongside the one-time Old Trafford flyer, Tevez’s haul of 25 goals for the season looks meek. However, with Monaco the opponents for the Old Lady in their Champions League quarter final, there is every chance the Argentine will bulge the net.

Martin has just returned from injury but has been a big part of the Rams promotion push, scoring 20 times. The prospect of lowly Blackpool at the iPro Stadium should see the 26-year-old afforded a further pipe-cleaning start too.

In the other price boost, Juve and Derby feature again. This time they are joined by Championship hopefuls Middlesbrough in an enhanced treble which pays out at 3/1, from 9/4, should all teams win.

The chances of the Italians being caught napping, like Arsenal were, against Monaco is high unlikely considering they have lost just once at home all season.

That is easily the best form of the three, however, with Boro unable to string more than one win together on a regular basis, while Derby have won just once in nine.
