Promotion Specials: Dettori and Messi set for double glory

| 05.06.2015

They may operate in different sports but diminutive duo Frankie Dettori and Lionel Messi have been thrust together by the traders of Ladbrokes this weekend.

Saturday will see Dettori attempt to claim the Epsom Derby while hours later Messi will look to guide Barca to Champions League glory and an historic treble.

Thanks to Ladbrokes those who think both men will succeed are able to back that outcome thanks to some special markets.

Ladbrokes is offering odds of 5/1 on Dettori to ride the winner of the Derby and Messi to score in a Barcelona win against Juventus in Berlin.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “The action at Epsom and in Berlin looks set to trigger the biggest betting bonanza of the summer to date.

“The public love Dettori and Messi in equal measure so if both mini-maestros do the business in style we’ll be hit for millions.”

Those who think Dettori can ride Golden Horn to glory and Messi will score the opener in the final can get odds of 10/1, while a Frankie win and Messi hat-trick is priced at 400/1.

Messi isn’t the only goalscorer in town for the season finale, however, with Neymar, Luis Suarez, Carlos Tevez and Paul Pogba also vying to carve their names into European football history.

And Ladbrokes is making sure that punters are looked after whoever they are backing by going Top Price* on all First Goalsscorer and Correct Score bets for the game.

And anyone who fancies themselves as a horse whisperer and footy boffin can also make use of another great Ladbrokes offer.

The bookmaker is offering free football bets up to £25 for anyone who backs a horse that finishes second or third in the Derby.
