GAA Super Bonus Acca: Trust in Kerry and the other favourites

Having been let down by Meath last weekend we (and pretty much all of our GAA punters) were feeling a little low.

But we’re no shrinking violets hence why we’re back again with another GAA Super Bonus Acca. Back Roscommon, Cork, Kerry and Kilkenny to do the business at odds of 5/1!

Here’s everything you need to know about the favourites:

ROSCOMMON to beat Cavan (All Ireland Football Qualifiers Series Round 2, Saturday 17:00 – Live on RTE2)

It’s time for Roscommon to get back on track following their shock defeat to Sligo in their Connacht semi-final.

This match-up against Cavan should enable them to do just that having easily beaten their hosts in last year’s Championship clash.

Granted, Cavan fielded a depleted line-up on that occasion but we still fancy Roscommon to have enough in their locker to see them through here.

CORK to beat Wexford (All Ireland Hurling Qualifiers Series Round 1, Saturday 19:00 – Live on RTE2)

It’s crunch time in the Hurling Championship with this knock-out tie pitting two of the sport’s heavyweights against one another.

Cork are the understandable favourites but they’ll enter this contest following back-to-back defeats to Waterford in the league final and Munster semi-final.

They’ll be boosted by the return of forward Seamus Hamedy for this one though and their pacy and accurate attack is bound to cause Wexford problems.

KERRY to beat Cork (Munster SFC Final, Sunday 14:00, Live on RTE2)

These two rivals meet again in the Munster final and it’s Kerry who’ve had the upper hand in recent years with two Championship wins in a row, including last year’s 12-point victory.

And as you’d expect from the All Ireland champions they’re looking pretty strong ahead of another fiery encounter.

Cork usually raise their game against Kerry but their inconsistency is an issue and it’s difficult to see past their illustrious neighbours.

KILKENNY to beat Galway (Leinster SHC Final, Sunday 16:00, Live on RTE2)

Any doubts over Kilkenny this year were dismantled when they crushed Wexford by 24 points in the semi final, including a hat trick by newcomer Ger Aylward

Galway have been in fine scoring form too though, hitting a stunning 8-47 combined in their last two matches.

But Kilkenny are favourites and they can curb the influence of the in-form Joe Canning and Cathal Mannion here.
