Ladbrokes Championship: No way past Rangers in table-topping clash

It’s little surprise to see Rangers flying high in the Ladbrokes Championship but they face their toughest test yet away at joint-leaders Queen of the South on Sunday.
Meanwhile, four of the second tier’s ten teams are yet to win and this weekend the quartet all face each other…
Something has to give but what should we expect?

Alloa v Greenock Morton
Somebody has to prop up the table and that somebody right now is Alloa. Livingston are also without a point, but the Wasps are bottom on goal difference.
In their three losses Alloa have shipped 11 goals but could be in for an easier time of things against goal-shy Greenock Morton.
Jim Duffy’s men have just one goal to shout about but they’ve kept it tight at the other end, conceding only twice .
Alloa have won each of the last five meetings to nil, and with Michael Chopra leading the line, should be picking up points sooner rather than later.

Hibernian v Raith
Many tipped Hibernian to be Rangers’ main title rivals and though that could still prove to be the case, they need to pick up form after two early defeats.
Hibs haven’t really got going yet and won’t have it easy here either with Raith Rovers beginning the campaign efficiently.
Alan Stubbs has seen his Hibees find the net on just two occasions and they’ll need to break down a Rovers outfit which has conceded a solitary goal.
Both teams scored in all four meetings last year, with Raith claiming 1-1 draws in their two visits to Easter Road.
Best Bet: Correct Score 1-1 @ 7/1
St Mirren v Livingston
The other two sides yet to win this season, along with Alloa and Morton, St Mirren host Livingston for the second time in four days.
Livi came out on top 3-2 in the League Cup but are yet to pick up a point in the Championship.
The two sides have mustered a mere three league goals between them, but that win for Mark Burchill’s side on Tuesday night could be the turning point.
St Mirren’s only point came in a stalemate with fellow strugglers Morton, and they are taking time to adapt following relegation from the Premiership.
Best Bet: Double Chance – Livingston and Draw @ 10/11
Queen of the South v Rangers
Only goal difference is putting Rangers above the impressive Queen of the South ahead of this clash in Dumfries.
The Doonhamers have exited both cup competitions but have been efficient in the league with wins over Livingston, Dumbarton and Alloa to possess the only perfect record aside from Rangers.
Rangers had a hard time of it at Palmerston Park last season, losing twice before a play-off victory in May.
They met six times in total last term, with James Fowler’s men scoring in every encounter.
Mark Warburton’s men have been in irresistible form this season however, and Gers’ are well placed to put an end to Queens’ fine start to the year.
