3 teams from the British Isles heading for Euro 2016

We already know that England are heading for France next summer but which other two teams from the British Isles will be joining them at Euro 2016?

We’ll let you mull that over but it’s definitely only going to be three sides according to the results of the latest Ladbrokes News poll.

A significant 72 per cent of voters made three their magic number as the international break draws to a close with the four team option finishing next best on 21 per cent.

Given that Wales are just a point away from securing their passage to a first major tournament since 1958 – and the fact that they’ve still got to play Andorra at home- you’d like to assume they’ve made it.

Northern Ireland are also in a commanding position ahead of their crunch clash with Hungary in Group F.

Michael O’Neill’s table-toppers know that victory at Windsor Park tonight will ensure they’re also representing the British Isles in France.

Our trio are looking pretty solid then but what about the others?

Scotland and the Republic of Ireland’s hopes are in the balance in Group D with the former set to take on world champions Germany and the Republic at home to Georgia this evening.
