Liverpool fans want Klopp to replace Rodgers at Anfield

| 24.09.2015

He’s yet to receive any official contact or approach from the Anfield hierarchy but according to the fans at least, Jurgen Klopp is the preferred choice to replace under-fire Brendan Rodgers.

Our latest Ladbrokes News poll put the former Borussia Dortmund boss on top with 53 per cent of the vote as speculation continues to mount.

Klopp has openly said he’s interested in working in the Premier League and would cut short his sabbatical should the right job tempt him back into the dugout.

But will Merseyside be his next destination?

He’s 2/1 with Ladbrokes to manage in England’s top flight before the end of the season with Liverpool 13/8 favourites to be his next club.

Carlo Ancelotti finished second in our list on 37 per cent. Given the fact that the decorated Italian boss has managed in England before it’s not inconceivable to think that he could emerge as a viable candidate should Rodgers get the chop.

There was far less enthusiasm for our remaining three options though.

Club legend Steven Gerrard only attracted five per cent of the vote while highly-regarded Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe and Ajax supremo Frank de Boer were even lower down the pecking order.
