Poll: Which top-flight club will be busiest on Transfer Deadline Day?

Published:

Managers and agents will be scrambling around looking to bolster their squads and secure their players the best deals possible this Transfer Deadline Day.

The total spent during this window is set to surpass £800m on the final day of the window, but which club will be the busiest on September 1?

Ladbrokes’ have opened a market on which Premier League side will make the most signings today, and one side lead the way in the betting, with the rest much-of-a-muchness in the betting.

But who do you think will be splashing the cash more than the others today?

[poll id=”249″]

Here are the five of the teams at the head of the betting…

West Ham – 4/6

Alex Song has already been confirmed, while Victor Moses and Nikica Jelavic look set to follow any time soon.

Slaven Bilic has set about adding plenty of strength in depth in his side, with injuries and suspensions taking hold on the Hammers’ personnel at this early stage of the season.

Manchester United – 9/1

Louis van Gaal has come in for some stick for missing out on his potential signings over the window, so could be under pressure to make that right at the last minute.

Striking reinforcements look desperately needed with Wayne Rooney and James Wilson their only senior forward options, so could that man Austin make a move to Old Trafford among other deals?

Bournemouth – 12/1

The newly promoted Cherries are poised to add attacking reinforcements in the shape of Crystal Palace’s Glenn Murray, but will that be all?

Eddie Howe’s men are 8/1 to sign QPR striker Charlie Austin today, while the former Swansea winger Jonathan de Guzman has been linked with a season-long-loan from Italian side Napoli.

Watford – 16/1

The doors of Vicarage Road have been well and truly used to death over the summer, with the Hornets the busiest of the lot, signing 12 players so far in the window.

And not content with the tag of having the most signgings of the summer, they could yet out-spend the rest on deadline day with the likes of Obbi Oulare, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Victo Ibarbo all linked.

Leicester – 20/1

Ladbrokes News have already brought you the news that Claudio Ranieri is poised to swoop for Hull’s Ahmed Elmohamady today, but will the Tinkerman be in for anyone else?

He has stated that he is happy with the squad that he has got, but that certainly wont stop the rumour mill from turning as the clock counts down the hours.
