Just who is the Serbian youngster poised to join West Ham?

The transfer window may have been closed for nearly two weeks now but that doesn’t mean the clubs up and down the Premier League are neglecting their dealings in the market.
ESPN are reporting that West Ham have agreed their first move since deadline day by penning a deal to sign Serbian youngster Luka Belic.
The 19-year-old is currently a free agent after leaving OFK Belgrade last summer and it appears a move to the Premier League is on the cards.
He became the youngest player to take to the field in the Serbian Premier League at the age of 16 and has gone on to make sporadic appearances for the senior team of the capital club in the three years since.
Capped for his nation at all age groups from U16 to U19, the striker has a solid record of 11 goals in 21 games for Serbia.
Slaven Bilic has been a busy man bringing in his own players since arriving in east London, the Hammers signing no less than 12 players after the Croats’ appointment.
The arrival of Belic is unlikely to cause a major shake-up in the first team squad, but with his raw talent clear to see the Irons boss will be keen to see his development moulded in the best possible way.
Break through to the first team at Upton Park or at the club’s new home of the Olympic Stadium and Belic would become just the second Serb to don the claret and blue of West Ham after goalkeeper Sasa Ilic’s solitary appearance in 2000.
The youngster is reportedly highly rated and with no fee and potentially rock-bottom wages few Hammers fans would see this as a risk with the potential for it to turn into a fantastic deal.
Bilic’s men have made a solid start to the season beating the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool, but have succumbed to both Bournemouth and Leicester and will be eyeing up more consistency when they take on Newcastle on Monday.
