Voters getting it right with West Ham on Deadline Day

Published:

The clock is ticking for Premier League clubs with less than an hour to go until the summer transfer window slams shut.

At the start of the day we asked Ladbrokes News readers to vote for who they thought would be the busiest club on Deadline Day and West Ham came out on top with 54 per cent in our poll.

The east London club are now just 1/7 with Ladbrokes to sign the most players today having secured the services of four new stars since this morning.

In come Michail Antonio from Nottingham Forest for an undisclosed fee and striker Nikica Jelavic from Hull for a fee of £3m.

Meanwhile, both Alex Song and Victor Moses have arrived on loan from Barcelona and Chelsea respectively.

Manchester United came second in the poll with 27 per cent of the vote.

The Red Devils are in the process of sealing a deal for Monaco’s teen sensation Anthony Martial but there’s been little else to suggest more reinforcements are on their way to Old Trafford.

Newly-promoted pair Bournemouth and Watford make up the rest of our named clubs alongside Leicester while ‘other’ scooped 10 per cent.

Aston Villa have been fairly busy landing Matija Sarkic from Anderlecht and Joleon Lescott from neighbours West Brom but it looks like it’ll be Slaven Bilic’s Hammers who’ll be making most of the headlines.
