Daniel Sturridge must feature for Liverpool on Saturday

Jurgen Klopp must include Daniel Sturridge in his team for Liverpool this weekend against Manchester City. That is, according to Ladbrokes News’ latest poll.

The Reds’ boss has spoken this week of how the forward is back in full training on Merseyside, but will not be 100 per cent fit.

Nevertheless when polled, it became clear that the Kopites would rather see the England international take to the field against his former club, whether it be a risk or not.

71 per cent of respondents said that they wanted the German manager to include Sturridge in his squad on Saturday, while 29 per cent would rather he waited until he was back to peak fitness.

The striker has only managed 90 minutes in a Liverpool shirt 14 times since the start of the 2014-15 season, and has netted just three goals in the whole of 2015.

Sturridge’s knee injury is the latest in a long line of knocks that has played havoc with his career of late.

Bouncing back with goal against his former club, a feat he is priced at 11/4 to accomplish would make an excellent return to form for the Reds man.

Whether Klopp sees fit to throw him straight into the action remains to be seen, but the Ladbrokes readers have had their say.
