Tottenham to bounce back from Leicester loss against Sunderland

Tottenham Hotspur’s mid-week Premier League meeting with Leicester City ended cruelly for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, with Robert Huth’s 83rd-minute header securing a late 1-0 win for the Foxes.
This ended a run in which Spurs had only lost one in 15 in all competitions and the nature of the defeat could make it hard for them to refocus and recapture their previous form.
However, they are fortunate to find themselves up against Sunderland next and a clash with the Mackems will be enough to restore confidence.
Sam Allardyce’s men may have won back-to-back Premier League matches, but those results came against fellow strugglers Aston Villa and Swansea City, before that they had lost five in a row.
Furthermore, the Wearsiders have been defeated in seven of their ten meetings with teams in the top half this season and Spurs should have too much for them.

Although not looking set to get any points, Sunderland look likely to find the net and, before this season, had scored in all of their last four meetings with the north Londoners, despite losing three and drawing one in that run.

However, Kane has scored as many goals for Tottenham as he has for Sunderland in previous editions of this encounter, managing one strike against the Mackems in a 5-1 win before cancelling that out with an own goal in a 2-2 draw at the Stadium of Light this season.
