Man United lead race to poach star striker from Bayern Munich

| 19.04.2016

Robert Lewandowski has been tormenting opposition defenders in the Bundesliga this season, but may be set to switch the red of Bayern Munich for that of Manchester United this summer.

With the Red Devils having struggled for goals this season, the Manchester club are likely to recruit a new striker in the summer, and reports are that Lewandowski tops their list of targets, with a switch to Old Trafford priced at 7/2.

Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte may well usurp a United move, with 5/1 for Lewandowski to join the west London club – and such a signing would be a huge statement of intent from the Italian gaffer.

A reunion with former Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp may also prove tempting for the reportedly unsettled striker, with 10/1 that he’s unveiled at Anfield.

14/1 Arsenal round off the plausible Premier League options, with Gunners fans desperate to see a big name signing at the Emirates after last summer’s cautious transfer strategy.

Meanwhile, a trio of European heavyweights – PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona – are all 6s to acquire the Polish hitman, with a return to Borussia Dortmund looking unlikely at 25/1.

Blackburn Rovers – the club who almost signed Lewandowski in 2010 – are 500/1 to finally get their man, and those odds may well interest some of the Ewood Park club’s most optimistic fans.
