Things are going to look a little different in Manchester next season, with both City and United heading into the campaign under new leadership, but it’s the red half of the city who will prevail under Jose Mourinho.
That’s according to the results of today’s Twitter poll, which simply asked – in the wake of the Jose Mourinho to Manchester United all-but-confirmed confirmation – who will do better next season, Jose, or Pep?
With both clubs looking to make amends following disappointing seasons, it’s set up to be a fascinating clash between the Blue and Red of Manchester next year.
A host of changes are expected in both sides of the city, but it’s Jose who you think will come out best with 56 per cent of today’s vote, as he takes over from Louis van Gaal.
That left 44 per cent of you backing a Guardiola revolution at City, as the Spaniard takes charge of his third club, following ultra-successful spells with Barcelona and Bayern Munich. No pressure then for the Sky Blues…
United are 1/2 to finish in the top four next term, while a Premier League title in Jose’s (probably) first season at Old Trafford is 5/1.
City are 2/1 favourites for next year’s league, while 11/10 says Jose lands any title at United next year.
