Royal Ascot: Jazzi Top set to rediscover her mojo in Berkshire

Published:

He pulled out all the stops to win the St. James’s Palace Stakes on the opening day and our man Frankie Dettori can perform more wonders on day two at Royal Ascot.

The Ladbrokes racing ambassador was at his majestic best to steer home Galileo Gold and it’s exactly that kind of craftsmanship that can get Jazzi Top home in front in the Duke of Cambridge.

Here are our top tips for the action, accompanied by another slice of this…

Money Back if 2nd or 3rd to the SP Favourite in Channel 4 races!*

Get stuck in and remember to keep an eye out for Best Odds Guaranteed PLUS as well.

Our standout offering meant that customers taking the 11/2 early price weren’t just paid out at the 6/1 starting price. With BOG+ we boosted odds on Galileo Gold to 13/2, another example of the cracking everyday value available!

NAP – A Shin Hikari – 16:20 Royal Ascot

No Japanese horse has won at this meeting but don’t let that put you off A Shin Hikari.

The fact that classy rivals such as The Grey Gatsby are looking increasingly likely to swerve this contest only serves to further enhance the claims of this Prince of Wales’s Stakes hopeful.

Two wins at the top level, including a monster 10-length romp at Chantilly last time out, should give you more than enough confidence to back Masanori Sakaguchi’s raider.

NB – Jazzi Top – 15:40 Royal Ascot

A disappointing comeback run in the Dahlia may put off a few from backing John Gosden’s filly Jazzi Top but not us.

Unlike Newmarket winner and re-opposing rival, Usherette, our selection enters this contest unpenalised and that’s one major positive.

The fact that she has some Group 2 form in the book on slightly softer ground is another good reason to get excited while the Frankie factor also adds plenty of appeal.

Lively Longshot – Thikriyaat – 14:30 Royal Ascot

This probably isn’t going to be the biggest Lively Longshot we’ll tip up this week but it’s still available at a large enough price to justify the tag.

Sir Michael Stoute’s Thikriyaat is unbeaten in his three previous starts with a win in a 7f Listed contest at Newmarket last time out the highlight.

The three-year-old’s performances on different types of ground are also encouraging and therefore he gets the nod in what looks a tight Jersey Stakes renewal.
