Sinclair’s dream debut goal settled a frenzied contest in Edinburgh with the substitute’s close-range strike nine minutes from time eventually proving the difference against Hearts.
James Forrest had given the visitors an eighth-minute lead with a coolly placed shot before a contentious penalty award saw Jamie Walker level from the spot before half-time.
