Keep calm, Man United fans – Paul Pogba will come good in the end

Published:

Paul Pogba will eventually come good for Manchester United, at least that’s what our followers think. The world’s most expensive signing was the focus of today’s @Ladbrokes poll, where plenty of you had your say on the matter.

New manager Jose Mourinho had been after Pogba’s signature all summer and eventually landed his man in August.

But his star midfielder is yet to produce the goods in his second spell in a Man United shirt, causing many football fans to question whether it was money well spent.

It’s no surprise that the 23-year-old’s every step has been analysed in a United shirt, but even though the midfielder has failed to register a goal or assist in his first four games, 52 per cent of voters are just putting that down to a temporary dip in form.

After all, this is a man who assisted 43 goals in all competitions over a four-year spell in Italy with Juventus.

However, this was one of our closest polls to date, with 48 per cent of you believing Pogba will end up being a hindrance to Mourinho.

And he wouldn’t be the first big name to come in and fail in recent years. Just ask any United fan what they think of Radamel Falcao or Angel Di Maria.

Up next for Pogba and co is a trip to Watford, a side who’ve lost their last 10 games against the Red Devils.

Though the 8/13 on United to win might not offer the value you’re looking for, if you think Pogba can prove his doubters wrong, we’re offering odds of 13/5 for the Frenchman to score in a win for the Red Devils.

All Odds and Markets are correct as of the date of publishing.
