ICYMI: Hearts and St. Johnstone share the points after thriller

Prince Buaben - Hearts

Heart of Midlothian and St. Johnstone were forced to share the spoils following a pulsating encounter at Tynecastle on Saturday afternoon.

The Saints are now unbeaten in their last six games against the Jambos but they had to work hard to continue that streak.

Prince Buaben handed the Edinburgh side the lead after 25 minutes, only for the visitors’ Danny Swanson to level things up before half-time.

The Perthshire outfit then turned the tables and must’ve thought they were heading for all three points when substitute Chris Kane pounced with just five minutes remaining.

However, Hearts’ Callum Paterson had other ideas with the Scotland international heading home two minutes later to secure a point.

The result lifts Hearts above Rangers and into third with St. Johnstone also on 19 points in fifth.
