Man United, Chelsea and Man City on alert as Kane talks stall

Speculation has erupted over the future of Tottenham talisman Harry Kane, with the press reporting that contract talks between the Premier League hotshot and the north Londoners have stalled.

The 23-year-old signed his current deal midway through his breakthrough year in 2014-15, but since then a number of players have arrived at White Hart Lane on substantially larger salaries.

Believed to be on £60,000 per week, Tottenham are allegedly refusing to put Kane on a similar payscale to summer signing Moussa Sissoko, who earns some £35,000 more.

The current deal is also a good £20,000 less than Jamie Vardy at Leicester, while fellow England international Daniel Sturridge is reportedly earning double.

It’s worrying news for the White Hart Lane faithful, who are also yet to see their club offer goalkeeper Hugo Lloris a new deal either.

Kane has scored 46 goals in the last two full Premier League campaigns, leading Spurs back into the Champions League in the process.

And the news is sure to raise an eyebrow or two across boardrooms in the Premier League.

Manchester United have been known admirers of the striker for a number of seasons, while Manchester City and Chelsea have also been linked with a move.

Liverpool are also believed to be interested, while Real Madrid have signed Gareth Bale and Luka Modric from Spurs in recent times.

Kane should be able to make his next impact on the pitch, when Tottenham host West Ham this weekend.

Recently back from injury, Kane should feature for Mauricio Pochettino on Saturday, with Spurs 1/2 favourites.
