Monday blues? Not for the racing punter who scooped over £12k

| 22.11.2016

If you’re ever struggling for some #MondayMotivation, just check back to this incredible story of a racing punter who banished the blues to land an audacious gamble.

How did the tale unfold?

Well, Kempton was their happy hunting ground with a £10 treble returning a whopping £12,375!

The Bookie Bashing began with the Listed Mares’ Hurdle at 14:00, where despite being sent off as a 14/1 outsider, Surtee Du Berlais hacked up by three-and-a-quarter lengths in the hands of Leighton Aspell.

That in itself would have made for a pretty decent Monday but our hero wasn’t finished there.

In fact, the next contests delivered eerily similar results.

In the 14:35, another jolly was subsequently beaten into second by a 14/1 shot and once again our punter called it with Mercers Court the winning horse by three lengths.

As for the crowning glory, step forward 9/2 chance, Vinegar Hill. The Joshua Moore-trained charge completed a memorable hat-trick by beating a 4/1 co-favourite by, you guessed it, three lengths!

So there we have it. In the space of an hour and 10 minutes the subject of our story turned a tenner into over £12k. And Mondays will never be the same again.
