How Twitter reacted as Leicester and Vardy hammer Man City 4-2
Published:Leicester City are back! An incredible 4-2 success over Pep Guardiola was the result Claudio Ranieri has been waiting all season for, and of course, Twitter loved it.
Goals from Jamie Vardy and Andy King put the reigning Premier League champions 2-0 inside six minutes.
The England striker added a third after 20 minutes, and then scored a fourth in the second-half to cap a sublime hat-trick as City’s defence failed to keep track with the pacey forward.
Amazingly Vardy had gone exactly three months and 10 games without a single goal, and his hat-trick was his first since playing for Fleetwood back in 2012.
And following the 3-1 loss to Chelsea a week ago, the Citizens could now sit seven points off the pace if the Blues beat West Brom.
But back to Leicester’s deserved victory…
The Foxes raced into the lead and Gary reckons the title charge is back on…
Vardy is back. Leicester can still retain their title.

talkSPORT presenter Georgie Bingham correctly called a Leicester win, but she didn’t quite see it playing out like this…
Went Leicester to win today. But not by this much!!

And with City down and out, Vardy put the icing on the cake to claim his first Premier League hat-trick…

Riyad Mahrez wasn’t to be outdone though, with this sublime cameo…

It’s rare a Pep team gets beaten so thoroughly, but City fans weren’t impressed…
4 – This is the third time a team managed by Pep Guardiola have conceded 4 in a league game (Atlético in 2009 & Wolfsburg in 2015). Upset.

Spare a thought for Sam though…
I keep Jamie Vardy I’m my fantasy team for weeks and he doesn’t score. I take him out, he scores a hat trick. Story of my life

Moral of the story? Never rule out Leicester City.
