Conservatives slashed into 6/1 to win Stoke by-election

Stoke by-election odds

The Conservative Party are gaining considerable momentum in the Stoke by-election betting with their odds on taking victory slashed following a flurry of bets.

In the last 48 hours the Tories have been backed in at a rate of knots with the price on Jack Brereton enjoying a famous success plummeting from 20/1 into 6/1.

Labour remain the odds-on favourites at 8/13 with UKIP currently chalked up second in the betting at 9/4.

However, should the flood of money ring true then both parties will be left nervously awaiting the results on election night.

Stoke is just one of this week’s battlegrounds with the Copeland seat also up for grabs.

Tory candidate Trudy Harrison looks to have that one sewn up with the Conservatives just 1/3 to win the Cumbrian constituency while it’s 8/1 for Theresa May’s Party to win both seats.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Confidence is seemingly growing in the Tory camp and punters have forced the price to tumble. Theresa May’s surprise visit to Stoke has only added further fuel to the fire that a shock win could be on the cards if Paul Nuttall’s vote collapses.”
