Odds slashed on Arsenal signing Belotti – Chelsea 7/4 favourites

Arsenal fans can expect plenty of transfer activity this summer, according to the latest reports. But chief among them could be Torino hotshot Andrea Belotti.
The 23-year-old has become a sensation in Serie A, bagging 22 goals from just 26 appearances and the weekend’s Italian press claim Arsenal have targeted the hotshot as a potential signing.
Belotti is valued at just £17m by transfermarkt.co.uk, but it has been widely reported that Torino hold an £86m release clause on their prized asset.
But it remains to be seen whether the Turin-based outfit will sell for a lower fee, having only signed the striker for £7m in 2015, and £50m has been touted as a potential deal-maker.
The Gunners are entering a summer of uncertainty, with star men Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil yet to sign new contracts.
Sanchez’s situation is of particular concern, with the Chilean repeatedly linked with a move away from the Emirates.
And should the former Barcelona ace depart, Arsenal will need to move fast to snap up a replacement, hence the Belotti connections.
But our traders suggest Arsene Wenger won’t be able to sign Belotti without a fight.
Arsenal have been slashed from 12 into 6s shots to sign the sought-after forward, but London rivals Chelsea are the 7/4 favourites.
And Manchester City are ahead of the Gunners too at 5/2.
But Arsenal are in front of a number of European heavyweights, including 7/1 shots Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain at 8/1.
