PSG midfielder’s exile opens up Liverpool and Arsenal options

After shinig under Unai Emery at Sevilla, Grzegorz Krychowiak must have expected to slot right into the Paris Saint-Germain team after following the coach to France. But having barely featured in the capital this season, the Polish midfielder is considering his options – and that’s good news for Liverpool and Arsenal.
The 27-year-old has made just 11 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, after spending two years as a regular under Emery in Spain.
Keen to play first-team football, reports have emerged that Krychowiak is now readying himself for another move.
Valued at £25m and with a contract running until 2021, the midfielder won’t come cheap.
But should he prove keen to leave Paris, a deal could be agreed.
Krychowiak began his career with Bordeaux, before really making a name for himself with Reims.
Sevilla came calling in 2014, and the Poland international quickly became a favourite in Andalusia.
Impressively, he won the Europa League in both of his two years in Spain, netting in the 2015 success over Dnipro.
A further feather in Krychowiak’s cap came when he was the only Sevilla player named in the 2014-15 La Liga Team of the Season.
So it was not surprise he followed Emery to PSG in a £28m five-year deal last summer.
An excellent holding midfielder, who can also deputise at centre-half, Liverpool and Arsenal have been touted as potential destinations.
Both Premier League clubs could use some midfield steel, and Krychowiak may just be a surprise inclusion in the transfer market this summer.
