Celta Vigo v Man United: Signs point to another Red Devils draw

Published:

Manchester United were held to yet another frustrating draw last weekend, as Swansea City visited Old Trafford. And we think the Red Devils will be sharing the spoils once again as they visit Celta Vigo in the Europa League.

Six of United’s last nine games have finished level (after 90 minutes), including each of their last three. And Celticos aren’t averse to a draw in this competition – with four of their UEL games having ended with honours even.

So it’s the 11/5 for a draw which we’re tipping up in the match betting. United are slight favourites in the odds at 8/5 to win, with Celta 7/4 to chalk up a first-leg advantage.

However, we’re unlikely to see a 0-0 between the pair, with a host of attacking talent on display.

Iago Aspas is the main man for the hosts, with 24 goals in all competitions this term. With that in mind, the former Liverpool striker looks well-priced to score anytime at 9/4, while 11/2 says he opens the scoring for the 11th time this season.

For United’s part, we’ve recommended backing Henrikh Mkhitaryan to find the net time and again in this competition – and the Armenian has repaid that faith.

He’s registered in five of the Premier League giants’ last seven European outings, and is 12/5 to add to that tally here.

Finally, there’s a 14/1 shot we think has a solid chance of coming in.

The selection in question? Half-Time/Full-Time: Man United/Draw.

Jose Mourinho’s men have led at the break only to draw, in three of their last 13 games – including Sunday’s game against Swansea.
