Liverpool priced to make sensational bid for Chelsea star this summer

Cesc Fabregas may well be a Chelsea player for the time being – but the latest odds are suggesting that could all change in the coming months.

It’s Premier League rivals Liverpool who are currently the most likely club to seal a deal for the World Cup winner.

Jurgen Klopp has reportedly long been a fan of the midfielder, who has spent time with Arsenal and Barcelona as well as the West London outfit. Our traders make it just a 3/1 shot that the 29-year-old moves to Anfield.

As will likely be the case with all the big clubs in the top-flight, the Reds will have plenty of money to play with when the transfer window opens – and it’s thought Fabregas is the German boss’ number one target.

Reports are saying Liverpool could complete a deal for the midfielder for roughly £30m, but they may face stiff competition from Manchester United for his signature.

Jose Mourinho signed Fabregas for Chelsea back in 2014, and the Spaniard played a vital role in the Blues’ title-winning campaign back then. With that in mind, it’d hardly be a surprise to see the Portuguese boss make a move when the window opens up again.

It’s 4/1 for Fabregas to follow Juan Mata directly from Stamford Bridge to Old Trafford, while a return to the Emirates is much less likely (16/1), despite the Gunners being desperately short of experience and quality in the engine room.

Meanwhile, it’s 7/2 Fabregas is plying his trade with Serie A high-fliers Juventus when the transfer window slams shut, and 8/1 says he follows in Oscar and John Obi Mikel’s footsteps by moving to any Chinese Super League club.
