Cliffs of Moher shortens for the Eclipse following flurry of bets

| 05.06.2017

Aidan O’Brien’s Cliffs Of Moher has been backed in for this year’s Eclipse, following a flurry of bets.

We’ve been forced to cut the Derby runner-up from 7/1 to 11/2 after the money came this morning while a fellow Ballydoyle star has also been well-supported.

Order Of St George is another attracting interest with the five-year-old now just 5/4 (from 6/4) to secure an Ascot Gold Cup double.

It’s been a tremendous season so far for the O’Brien camp and the stable continues to be the go-to destination for antepost posters.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “There has been significant support for Order of St George in recent days and this morning, we’ve had to cut him. We won’t be surprised if he goes off odds-on on the day.”
