De Boer Evens for 2+ seasons at Palace; 8/1 to lead club in Europe

| 27.06.2017

There’s a new man in the Selhurst Park hotseat, in the form of Frank de Boer. And with Crystal Palace fans eager to see what their new boss can bring to the club, our trading team have been busy pricing up a flurry of specials on the Eagles and their new gaffer.

First off, our odds-crunchers think there’s every chance he’ll be there for the long(ish) haul, with 1/2 on offer for him to finish the 2017-18 season in charge of the club, while it’s even-money that he remains in South London for 2+ years.

They also make it a 7/1 shot that he manages to lead the club into European competition, while it’s 8/1 for De Boer to secure a top-six Premier League finish with them in any campaign.

However, Palace fans will be hoping the Dutchman will comfortably swerve the 5/2 on offer for their club to suffer relegation during his tenure.

Elsewhere, it’s 33/1 for the club to finally end their currently 111-year wait for a major trophy with De Boer at the helm. But having come within nine minutes of winning the FA Cup in 2016, that could well turn out to be an inspired bet.

It’s also 33s for the former Ajax boss to give the club their first ever top-four finish in the Prem, while fans dreaming of the club repeating Leicester City’s recent feats could be tempted by a flutter on the 500/1 for the 47-year-old lift the Premier League title anytime as Palace boss.

So, will the Eagles soar under De Boer, or will it be Dutch dismay in South London? We wait to see…
