Arsenal could be heading for a very busy few weeks in the transfer market – especially if the Gunners land Alexandre Lacazette.

The Lyon hotshot is widely expected to leave club this summer, and Arsenal have long-been linked with the France international.

And with continued reports that Alexis Sanchez will quit the Emirates, Arsene Wenger needs to find a replacement.

But according to Lyon’s president, Jean-Michel Aulas, Arsenal have made a ‘very nice offer’ for Lacazette.

The 26-year-old hit 28 goals in just 30 Ligue 1 appearances last season, but despite his own personal form, Lyon were nowhere near title contention.

Lacazette has now scored 66 goals in his last 99 league games ,and is also wanted by Paris Saint-Germain.

He is valued at £34m by transfermarkt.co.uk, and is contracted to Lyon until 2019.

Our traders make Arsenal 2/1 favourites to land the striker, with Liverpool second-best at 4/1.

It’s 10/1 he heads to Manchester United.

The Red Devils shouldn’t be ruled out at this stage. They’re expected to make a big-money signing to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

While it’s widely regarded that Alvaro Morata will be that marquee arrival, until that deal is done Lacazette remains in the frame at Old Trafford.

Lacezette has spent his entire career with Lyon, but his time at the club has coincided with their slide down the table.

Since making his club debut aged 18-years-old in 2010, the striker has featured 275 times, scoring 129 goals but has yet to win a trophy with Lyon.
