Odds slashed on Kane heading to Man United this summer

It isn’t panic stations just yet for Tottenham Hotspur fans. But supporters of Mauricio Pochettino’s side are likely to feel a little uneasy about the change in Harry Kane’s odds of a summer switch to Manchester United, with our traders slashing the price.

Having previously been 20/1 to swap North London for the North-West before the window closes, it’s now just 6/1 for the 23-year-old to make Old Trafford his new home.

However, they’ll be pleased by the news that United are his only plausible suitors, with 5/1 for him to join any Premier League club this summer.

Still, with Cristiano Ronaldo having seemingly snubbed his former employers once again, Jose Mourinho’s focus appears to have turned to Kane.

And with Anthony Martial potentially leaving the club this summer, the odds on the Spurs striker heading to M16 could take another almighty cut.

Elsewhere, there’s 4/1 on offer for United to break the world transfer record again this summer, having done so with the £89m capture of Paul Pogba last August.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It’s early days, but such a drastic fall in odds overnight tells us all we need to know here. United have money to spend – and if they’re after a world class striker, they won’t get much better than Kane. Don’t be surprised to see that 6/1 fall further over the coming weeks as interest intensifies.”
