Published:

It’s the world’s biggest teams playing in the planet’s biggest stadiums, and it takes place right across the globe.

It’s the International Champions Cup, and though it doesn’t officially count for anything, it’s becoming quite the event.

This year’s edition marks the fifth running of the ever-growing tournament, so here’s what you need to know.

Five Premier League teams are taking part – Arsenal, Chelsea Tottenham, Manchester City, Manchester United.

China, Singapore, and the United States will host the fixtures.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are in attendance, as are Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus, Roma, Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon.

So that’s where and who. Now how…

The tournament is broken down into three mini-leagues, one each for the games in China, Singapore and the USA.

And at the end of it all, someone will be crowned International Champions Cup champion.

So it’s pretty simple, and it will allow us to get a better look at new signings like Alexandre Lacazette, Romelu Lukaku and Bernardo Silva.

It all gets underway on Tuesday, July 18.
