Latest rumours spark fresh De Gea to Real Madrid speculation

Published:

Quickly becoming the decade’s longest running transfer saga, it seems Real Madrid are, once again, back in for Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

The Spanish international has long been coveted by the capital club with a fresh round of rumours every other transfer window.

Los Meringues are back on the scene once again today with reports they are ready to table a £50m bid for the ex-Atleti netminder.

At some stage you’d think that Madrid president Florentino Perez will get his man. Real are constantly upgrading their squad with the finest players in the world in every position and De Gea certainly fits that bill.

While current number one, Keylor Navas, is a fine keeper in his own right, the European champions don’t tend to settle for second best in many departments.

We make De Gea 6/4 to join Real in this transfer window, and with the moves many have been making, it might be prudent to jump on now before the odds shorten any further.

The powers-that-be at Old Trafford are said to be fairly relaxed about the situation, though. De Gea recently signed a long-term deal and is understood to be more than happy in Manchester right now.
