Niedercorn v Rangers: Back visitors to secure Europa progression

Pedro Caixinha odds

Rangers head to Luxembourg tonight to face Progres Niedercorn, and are well-poised to progress to the next round of Europa League qualifying.

Pedro Caixinha’s side claimed a 1-0 victory in the first leg at Ibrox last week, thanks to the evergreen Kenny Miller.

And though they would have ideally taken a larger margin with them into the second leg, it’s a win nevertheless.

Indeed, it may actually be a blessing in disguise to have the away leg second.

Had it been first, this greatly changed Rangers side may have found itself victim to an upset against their unknown Luxembourg opponents.

As it is, they now head to the Stade Jos Haupert having had a full 90 minutes to suss out their competitors, and indeed, suss out themselves.

So Caixinha and his men should be plenty confident of getting the job done, and they’re 3/10 to win this second leg.

The hosts are 15/2, while a few may fancy a draw at 18/5.

That could certainly look good value with both teams to score chalked up at 10/11, or Rangers to win and both teams to net at 15/8.

Another angle to consider is Rangers to nabbing an early lead, and thus controlling this game from the get-go.

Should the Glasgow side pursue that option, then Rangers/Rangers in the Half-Time/Full-Time at 19/20.
