So far so good for Federer, Nadal, Murray and Djokovic

If there are to be any huge upsets at Wimbledon this year, we’ll have to wait a little longer for them.

Stan Wawrinka may have fallen at the first hurdle, but as far as the big four are concerned, it’s trouble-free thus far.

Andy Murray swept past Alexander Bublik in straight sets, while Rafael Nadal did likewise against John Millman on the opening day.

As for Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, well the duo had an even easier time of things as their opponents, Alexander Dolgopolov and Martin Klizan respectively, both retired through injury.

It means the quartet’s outright odds remain relatively unchanged.

Federer is still the man to beat, and his odds have been trimmed into 11/5 from 11/4, with Nadal next up at 4/1.

Djokovic is 9/2, with Murray coming in slightly from 6/1 to 11/2.

Looking ahead to the second round, the Scot will take on the entertaining and unpredictable Dustin Brown.

But that shouldn’t concern the world number one, with 1/14 saying he goes through to round three.

Nadal is 1/16 to defeat American Donald Young, while Novak Djokovic faces Czech opponent Adam Pavlasek.

There could be a few problems on the horizon for the Serbian however, with Juan Martin del Potro a potential third round opponent.

As for Federer, the seven-time champion will face the winner of Stefanos Tsitsipas versus Dusan Lajovic.
