Burnley star Andre Gray set for £18.5m move to Watford

Watford could be about to make a significant signing from a Premier League rival, if reports are to be believed.

The Hornets are said to have made an £18.5m bid for Burnley striker Andre Gray.

The Ex-Luton Town man only has 12 months left on his contract at Turf Moor and would be open to a move to Vicarage Road.

Watford have already seen two bids turned down for the 26-year-old who hit 10 goals in 36 appearances last season.

They face a difficult decision on whether to hold on to their talisman for another season and let his contract run down, or cash in now and get a hefty transfer fee.

The Hornets have already splashed the cash once already this week with the £13m signing of Richarlison and we reckon Gray is next on manager Marco Silva’s shopping list.

A potential front three of Troy Denney, Gray and Isaac Success should give the Hertfordshire side the quality they need to make a top-10 push.

Meanwhile, Burnley could face a fight to stay up if they fail to replace the goals of the forward who now seems destined for a move to Vicarage Road.
