Two of the Championships big-guns clash tonight as Sheffield Wednesday play host to Nottingham Forest.

Despite Forest’s higher placing in the league it’s Wednesday that go into this one as favourites.

The Owls have been slightly shaky at home of late, though.

Manager Carlos Carvalhal has not seen his side pick up three points in the league at Hillsborough since April.

However, a visit from Forest could provide the perfect tonic.

The visitors have won only one of their last 14 games away from home in the league.

We’ve got Wednesday at 5/6 to inflict more misery on the travelling fans.  Forest are 13/4 shots to take the spoils while the Draw is 5/2.

Given that the hosts have drawn their last three at home, a level scoreline could be the way to go.

Those three draws have all been 1-1.

We go 11/2 for that scenario to unfold yet again at Hillsborough.

Wednesday though will be somewhat up against it tonight.

They’re missing manager Carvalhal through a touchline ban, while striker Fernando Forestieri is out injured until December.

It means the onus will fall on Gary Hooper who is 13/8 to net Anytime. Scottish duo Jordan Rhodes and Steven Fletcher are also 13/8 apiece to get on the scoresheet.

For the visitors, Daryl Murphy has been in excellent form.

The Irishman has bagged three strikes already this campaign, including one on the road at Brentford. He’s 2/1 to add to his tally.

We’ve also noticed that whenever Forest are in town there tends to be goals.

All three of their away games so far this season have seen Both Teams to Score land. We’re backing it to happen again at 17/20.

Finally, we’re taking a look at something a little bit different.

We’ve established that both teams like to play attacking football.

And going on the head-to-head record it’s fair to say Wednesday have the dominance in this fixture.

They’ve won the last five meetings, the last two of which have seen both teams find the back of the net.

It’s 3/1 for Wednesday to win and Both Teams to Score.
