David Unsworth odds crumble into just 6/4 for Everton job
David Unsworth has seen his odds slashed into second favourite to become the permanent boss of Everton.
In the last 24 hours, our football traders have seen barely a penny laid on any other runners and riders in the frame.
And Unsworth’s odds have crashed into just 6/4, from 10/1, in less than 24 hours. That also follows up a big 3-2 comeback win over Watford under the ex-Toffees defender.
Sam Allardyce remains the odds-on favourite, but the move for Unsworth means his price has drifted out to 4/6, having been as short as 1/7 at one stage.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Unsworth is all the rage with punters at the moment. If the money’s on the nose, the ‘glorified PE teacher’ could soon be getting a very big promotion.”
An announcement is expected on the situation over the course of the international break.
