Premier League Picks: Our tips for Saturday’s 3pm games

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is enjoying greater success in the Europa League this season

There’s not long to go until the busy Christmas period.

Premier League sides will want to get as many points on the board as they can before the games start piling up.

There are five 3pm kick-offs in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

We’ve put together our top tips in all of them for you:

Crystal Palace v Stoke City

The return of Wilfried Zaha has injected much-needed vitality into Crystal Palace’s attack. Their problem is they’re still conceding silly goals.

Palace and Stoke have both conceded 24 goals in league action this season, the joint-second worst record in the top flight. That means there there’s value in Over 2.5 Goals here at 11/10.

Palace have never lost at home to Stoke in the Premier League. Palace to win and Both Teams to Score looks tasty at 17/5.

Manchester United v Brighton & Hove Albion

Manchester United will want to respond to their defeat to Basel. That could be bad news for Brighton, especially as United have won ten consecutive games at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho’s side have scored 30 goals and only conceded twice during that run. United are 4/6 to Win to Nil.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still working his way towards full fitness. He could make a third successive appearance as a sub. He’s 14/5 to be Last Goalscorer.

Newcastle United v Watford

Watford have won each of their last three games against Newcastle. The Hornets are the league’s top scorers outside the top six (19 goals scored). Backing them at 12/5 could be a smart call.

Richarlison could excel up against the defensively-suspect DeAndre Yedlin. You can get Watford to win, Richarlison to have 3+ shots and Tom Cleverley to win 2+ tackles for 7/1.

Swansea City v Bournemouth

Bournemouth may have turned their season around with last weekend’s 4-0 thrashing of Huddersfield Town. They’re 17/10 to inflict a sixth consecutive defeat on Swansea.

Last weekend’s hat-trick hero Callum Wilson is 9/2 to score First.

Tottenham Hotspur v West Bromwich Albion

Tottenham will be determined to respond in the league after their poor showing in the North London derby. West Brom caretaker boss Gary Megson will look to frustrate them in his first game in charge of any side since 2012.

The home side’s quality should make the difference. Spurs are 3/4 to win with a -1.0 goal handicap. They’re also 17/20 to Win to Nil.
