Sam Allardyce has returned to odds-on favourite for the Everton manager’s job.

Despite starting the weekend as an 8/1 shot, the ex-England boss is now just 10/11 to fill the vacancy at Goodison Park.

Allardyce’s huge move in the market comes following the Toffees’ meek 4-1 surrender away at Southampton on Sunday afternoon.

He now leads Republic of Ireland chief Martin O’Neill who has been bumped up to 5/2 in the market.

Watford’s Marco Silva is considered the fourth-favourite at 4/1.

Meanwhile, Andre Villas-Boas is a new inclusion at odds of 8/1 alongside Sean Dyche and Tony Pulis.

The former Chelsea boss is currently managing in China with Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG.

Marco Bielsa is available at the same price following his suspension by Lille OSC at the weekend.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Swansea City in the past and would be a slightly left-field choice from the Blues hierarchy.

Last week’s favourite Ralf Rangnick is now rated as a 10/1 chance, while Guus Hiddink and current caretaker boss David Unsworth are 14/1 and 16/1 respectively.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Plenty remain in the mix for the Goodison Park vacancy, but as things stand it’s now Big Sam who looks most likely to get the job.”
