Super Sunday: We preview Man City v Arsenal & Chelsea v Man United

Published:

Super Sunday sees a pair of gigantic Premier League clashes live on Sky Sports. Four of the current top-five are involved.

Manchester City host Arsenal at the Etihad, while Manchester United travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.

The results of these two clashes could have a significant bearing on the table in the run-up to Christmas.

Here, the Ladbrokes News Team take you through the two fixtures and recommend our best bets.

Man City v Arsenal

First up at 14:15, it’s Man City v Arsenal live on Sky Sports. The home side are 2/5 for the win, while Arsenal 11/2 underdogs. The draw is 4/1.

The Gunners have the unenviable task of trying to bring down the City house.

However, Arsene Wenger’s side are in good form and should put up a decent fight. Arsenal have gone quietly under the radar.

The North London outfit have won 10 of their last 13 in all competitions and are unbeaten since that 2-1 reverse to Watford at Vicarage Road.

They face a City side on fire, though. Pep Guardiola’s squad have torched nearly every side that have come upon them.

The Citizens’ 4-2 win against Napoli was undoubtedly their best result of the season. They’re playing some astonishing football reminiscent of Guardiola’s old Barcelona teams.

Goals have to feature in this game. City have scored 20 times in their last four Premier League home fixtures.

Both sides have managed to find the back of the net in the last six encounters between the teams.

Man City to win and Over 2.5 goals is 3/4. But a better value bet is the 7/5 on a City win and Both Teams To Score.

Chelsea v Man United

Next up in front of the Sky Sports cameras, it’s Chelsea v Man United at Stamford Bridge at 16:30.

The West London outfit are slight favourites at 29/20, with the Red Devils at 2/1, and the draw at 21/10.

Antonio Conte will be looking to right the wrongs of the midweek defeat to Roma in this vital clash against United.

Contrastingly, Jose Mourinho’s team are in decent form, having won big games back-to-back against Spurs and Benfica.

Games between Chelsea and United tend to be quiet tight. The last six clashes between the pair have seen both teams score just once.

The Blues have got the better of it three times, with United winning once, and two stalemates.

In the last 14 previous meetings, only twice has the away side been victorious.

If City do win – as expected – in the game before this, it could deflate both teams in the late afternoon clash. A draw could suit Chelsea and United and 21/10 looks a nice price.

Under 2.5 Goals is just 6/10 so combining it with a stalemate would give you odds of 13/5.
