Chelsea leading Arsenal and Liverpool in race for Monaco star
Chelsea have leapt ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool to emerge as new favourites to sign Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar.
Lemar was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this summer. But our traders think Chelsea could pip their London rivals to his signature.
The France international is 6/4 to move to Stamford Bridge.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of the silky playmaker. But without Champions League football, the Gunners are second-favourites at 2/1.
Liverpool are also in the hunt at 7/2.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “If there’s any justice in the world, Lemar will secure a move to the Premier League in the coming months.”
He added: “But with Chelsea now favourites to sign him, Gooners will have one message for Wenger when it comes to the race for the youngster’s signature: Don’t Give It Up.”
