Record number of bets are backing a White Christmas

Punters will be dreaming of a White Christmas for record-breaking reasons, according to our traders.
Last week’s snow storm led to a record number of bets being placed on any part of the UK waking up to the white stuff on December 25th.
Leeds is the most popular city backed, with 7/2 on offer for snow to fall in west Yorkshire.
Aberdeen remains the most likely city to see snow on Christmas Day at 2/1.
But odds of snow falling anywhere in the UK last week fell to just 4/9 – the lowest they’ve been for a decade.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “The weather can’t seem to make its mind up but we’ve never seen as much betting interest for snow as we already have this year with punters continuing to dream of a White Christmas.”
