Ladbrokes’ Dan Skelton discusses his four runners for Saturday’s meeting at Haydock.

The conditions aren’t looking great with the ground reportedly going to be very heavy.

Take it away Dan…

Atlantic Storm in the 12.55 is struggling for form.

I thought he would take a step forward this year but it’s just not happening. He will find his form surely but I don’t have much immediate confidence.

We are really happy with Ch’Tibello who runs in the 2.40.

We obviously have to take on The New One again which we have done before and not quite got the better of him. But I hope one day he gets the chance to be able to do that.

I think he has taken a bit of a step forward from Cheltenham and it’s the obvious race to go for so we haven’t really got any excuses.

Azzuri (3.45) didn’t run too bad last week and was just maybe a bit rusty.

I thought I’d get him back out there quick and it’s only a small field again.

He’s jumping very well and hopefully, you will see a step forward. There is no reason why he wouldn’t step forward in this race.

Shelford (4.15) has been a great horse over the years. I am just worried by the fact that he has got top weight here on that ground.

If he was in there off a lower mark I would be a bit more confident but the top weight issue gets to me a little.

I have one eye on the Cheltenham Festival now with prep races and so on.

We would just love to get a nice smooth run with every horse and hopefully we can turn up and have a good few throws of the dice.

Dan.
