Man City v Leicester City: Expect goals at the Etihad

Saturday night’s Premier League game sees Manchester City host Leicester City.

Pep Guardiola’s men are closing in on the title, and go into this one as 1/5 favourites.

Claude Puel’s Foxes are a 14/1 for the win, with the draw available at 11/2.

Leicester have shocked the league leaders in the past. They won 4-2 last season and produced a 3-1 victory at the Etihad in their title-winning year.

The Citizens have shown signs of vulnerability of late too.

They scraped past Bristol City in the EFL Cup, while they lost to Liverpool last month as well.

And they looked below their best in a 1-1 draw versus Burnley last time out.

So backing the Foxes tonight could prove rather fruitful.

Goals are almost a given in this one.

Each of the last four league meetings have seen at least two goals, while three or more were netted in three of those.

So it’s no surprise to see over 1.5 chalked up at 1/9, with over 2.5 available at 2/5 and over 3.5 still odds-on at 19/20.

Man City to win and over 3.5 goals is 5/4. And if you fancy them to run riot then the 29/20 on them to win -2 could be the one to be on.

Sergio Aguero is 12/5 favourite to score first, but the value lies with Jamie Vardy.

The England international remains are clinical as ever, and has scored four times against City in the last two seasons – including that memorable hat-trick in 2016.

Given that he takes penalties too, Vardy is a great shout at 17/2 to score first, while he’s an equally likeable 23/10 anytime.
