Our traders estimate that tomorrow’s Gold Cup will spark a £/€20 million betting bonanza across the industry in the UK and Ireland on the final day of the Cheltenham Festival.

Apart from the Grand National, the Gold Cup is the biggest betting race of the entire year.

Might Bite and Native River are the 4/1 joint-favourites, in what looks to be a competitive renewal in testing conditions.

The trading department has reported that Native River will be the worst result of the race, while they are also anticipating strong support for Irish challenger Our Duke.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “The Gold Cup is the pinnacle of the Festival, with a staggering amount of money set to be gambled across the nation.

Given the conditions here, Native River has taken over from Might Bite as our nightmare result.”
