Europa League Picks: Will Arsenal make it into the last eight?

| 15.03.2018

The Europa League is heating up nicely now. Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Lyon will all fancy their chances of lifting the trophy in May.

But they need to seal their place in the last eight first. The second-leg of the last-16 ties are all played tonight.

And we’ve come up with some tasty tips…

Lokomotiv Moscow v Atletico Madrid (4pm)

Atletico have a 3-0 lead from the first leg and this tie looks all but over. Don’t expect a thriller. Under 1.5 Goals is 7/4.

Diego Simeone is likely to make a few changes to his regular XI. Fernando Torres could get a rare run-out. The Atletico legend is 17/10 to score Anytime.

Athletic Bilbao v Marseille (6pm)

Marseille may have won the first-leg 3-1 but it’s all to play for tonight. The hosts are very strong on home soil and have a crucial away goal. Athletic and Both Teams to Score is 18/5.

The Basque side will need to make a fast start in this one. Athletic are 21/10 in the First-Half Result market.

The visitors have a two-goal cushion though. They’re 1/7 to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Dynamo Kiev v Lazio (6pm)

Lazio are 23/20 favourites here but Dynamo may have the upper hand. The first leg finished 2-2 in Rome.

Dynamo are unbeaten at home this season and Lazio haven’t won in their last four outings. The hosts are 21/10 to win on the night. It’s a 17/4 shot that Both Sides Score and Dynamo win.

Viktoria Plzen v Sporting Lisbon (6pm)

Viktoria Plzen may have too much to do after a 2-0 loss in Portugal.

The Czech club need at least three goals to go through in 90 minutes. But there have been Under 2.5 Goals in each of their last five European games. Sporting and Under 2.5 Goals is 11/5.

Zenit St. Petersburg v RB Leipzig (6pm)

This tie is very finely poised. Leipzig’s only win in their last six outings was the 2-1 win over Zenit last week.

Zenit have only lost one of their last 25 home games in this competition. It’s 2/1 that the Russian side qualify.

They’ll be without defensive rock Emanuel Mammana though. Zenit and Both teams to Score is 18/5.

Arsenal v AC Milan (8:05pm)

Arsenal have a 2-0 lead and are in the driving seat here.

These two sides have played each other seven times before. Five of those games have seen one of them Win to Nil. The Gunners have kept five clean sheets in the Europa League this term. Arsenal to Win to Nil is 5/2.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan bagged the opener at the San Siro last week. He’s got two goals in his last two games. We go 4/1 that he scores and Arsenal win.

Lyon v CSKA Moscow (8:05pm)

Lyon will be without Nabil Fekir but they’ve got a 1-0 lead to protect. Fortunately for them, CSKA don’t tend to travel too well in Europe.

The Ligue 1 side are 4/6 to win the second leg. Memphis Depay could be key in wide areas. The former Manchester United man is 11/2 to score First.

RB Salzburg v Borussia Dortmund (8:05pm)

Dortmund fell to a shock 2-1 home defeat in the first leg. They’re really up against it now. But with Michy Batshuayi and Marco Reus both hitting form, they’ve got plenty of firepower. Borussia Dortmund and Over 2.5 Goals is 2/1.

Will that be enough for Peter Stoger’s side to go through? It’s 2/1 that Dortmund qualify, with Salzburg at 4/11.
