Aberdeen v Burnley tips: Will Clarets avoid any slip ups?

Published:

There’s a tasty all-British clash in Europa League qualifying tonight as Aberdeen host Burnley.

Aberdeen have slipped up in the qualifiers several times in the last few years, but this is a huge step for Burnley. They haven’t played in European competition for over 50 years.

It’s set up for a tense first-leg tie at Pittodrie.

Match Odds

After finishing seventh in the Premier League last year, it’s no surprise that Burnley are 5/6 favourites.

Aberdeen are out at 18/5, and we go 9/4 for the draw.

The odds suggest Burnley won’t have any problems here, but they won’t be used to being overwhelming favourites. How will they cope?

It’s likely to be a tense affair in the Granite City. Neither side is going to want to leave themselves exposed ahead of the second leg. Both Teams to Score – No is 4/6, with Under 2.5 Goals at 4/7.

Goalscorer Odds

Our traders have Chris Wood as the likeliest scorer here. He fired in 10 Premier League goals last term. He’s 23/10 to open the scoring or 3/4 to net Anytime.

His likely strike partner Ashley Barnes isn’t far behind at Evens to hit the back of the net.

The hosts will be looking to Stevie May to cause problems for Burnley. The 25-year-old’s 14/5 to get on the scoresheet.

It’s worth keeping an eye on Gary Mackay-Steven too. The goalscoring winger is 7/2 to get one here.
