Inter Milan v Tottenham tips: Goals likely in San Siro cracker

Published:
Son Heung-min

If prior meetings between Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur are anything to go by, we’re in for a cracker with tonight’s Champions League clash.

The previous four clashes between these sides have produced a whopping 19 goals. And with both sides strong up front, but susceptible at the back – this could be another thriller.

Match Odds

Inter have picked up just four points from as many Serie A games this term. On paper, that would point to a Tottenham win. But the visitors are missing some key players.

In the Match Betting, I Nerazzurri are 31/20 for victory. Meanwhile, a Spurs win is 9/5, with 12/5 about the Draw.

Meanwhile, it’s 4/6 for Both Teams to Score, while 21/10 says there’s Over 3.5 Goals.

Talking Tactics

Both of these sides tend towards a 4-2-3-1 system. But Mauricio Pochettino might shake things up tactically. They’re without the injured Dele Alli, whilst Poch has also made the bold move to leave Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld at home.

Inter are likely to start with Keita Balde up top, ahead of an attack-minded midfield trio containing Radja Nainggolan.

Goalscorer Odds

The prolific Mauro Icardi is Inter’s best threat of a goal. He’s netted 107 times in 185 games for the Serie A side. It’s 6/4 he finds the net here, while the Argentine is 4/1 to break the deadlock.

Harry Kane is Spurs’ most likely man at 13/10 Anytime, while the fan favourite is 9/2 to bag Two or More Goals.

One of Tottenham’s top performers in Europe last year was Son Heung-Min. He scored in four of their UCL games last term, and is 5/2 to notch again in Milan.
